Wow, how time flies! I know that I have not been blogging for a long while. And when I visited this site and saw my last post, it was more than a year ago.
In 2 1/2 weeks time, my daughter, Dina will turn 2. She has basically found her legs and now she can't seem to walk. She'll be running. Everytime she runs, I'm scared that she will trip and hurt herself. But Alhamdulillah, thus far she's ok. She has asthma, as suspected by the GP in Muar. And she has had asthma attacks since she was about 8 months old. On October 30th 2008, she had a bad asthma attack. That was my thoughts. I took her to a GP in Desa Pandan twice, one in the morning and one later in the afternoon to take the nebulizer. Around 9 pm, her heavy and difficult breathing hadn't subsided and we took her to the same clinic again. One step into the doctor's room, the doctor said, "I am writing a referral letter to a hospital and you have to take her there." I was like, "Oh no, how bad is she."
Then, after conferring with my hubby, we decided to take her to Gleneagles Intan in Jalan Ampang, which is quite near to my sister-in-law's place. Luckily for her, when I took her to the Emergency Room in GIMC, there was an attending paedetrician there, Dato' Dr. Iean Hamzah. So, she was quickly put under the observation and care of Dato' Dr. Iean. The diagnosis was bronchiolitis. Dina was admitted for 4 nights. She was first admitted in the HDU and to a single room two days later. She was given the nebulizer every four hourly until Dato' is happy with her progress. After four days of nebulizer and antibiotics, Dina was given a home leave of a day prior to full discharge. We have to take her to GIMC the night of the home leave and the morning after. After her morning intake of antibiotics during the home leave, we met again with Dato' Dr. Iean. He then gave Dina a clean bill of health. Alhamdulillah. I can vouch for his professionalism and attentiveness. He advised us to give Dina Pneumococcal vaccine since she can be considered in high risk. We agreed to that and visited Dato' Dr. Iean twice for the japs.
After the GIMC episode, she still experience breathing problems occasionally. And on Prophet Muhammad's SAW birthdy this year, she was coughing quite profusely. I supposed from the smoke emitted from the burning of the grass at my mom-in-law's compound. So, before leaving for KL, I gave her medicine for cough, asthma and flu prescribed by the GP. She stays with her grandmother and auntie in Muar. With heavy heart, both me and hubby left for KL. During our stop at Senawang rest area, I received a message from my sis-in-law that Dina was getting worse. We turned around and head back to Muar. When we reached my mother-in-law's place, Dina was whimpering. Throughout the night, my hubby alternated with me to hold her at our chest as she would have problem breathing if she slept lying down. When the morning came, we took her to the clinic at 7.30 a.m. and after that at 10.30 a.m. After taking the nebuliser at 10.30 a.m., the doctor told me that I have to take her to the hospital. There were too much mucus in her lungs.
So, again we head to the hospital. This time around, we took her to the Hospital Pakar Sultanah Fatimah. This is the second time that she was hospitalised in HPSF. The first time was when she was a week old. Admitted for jaundice. After she was brought to her bed, streams of doctors came to her bed and started to interview me and hubby to find out more about her asthma history. Just about we were to finish explaining, came another one and started another round of fact finding. Same questions were forwarded to us and we have to repeat the answers. We thought it stopped at that. Much to our dismay, another doctor came and started the interview and Q&A session all over again. If I didn't think of Dina being sick and she could travel, I would have taken her to KL and admitted her at GIMC. Even my sister-in-law who was with us was tired of the questionings. My thoughts at that time were like why don't all of the doctors came together (like what they always do in the mornings doing their rounds) and ask the questions in one go, rather than us having to answer the same questions many times over. I think they didnt have kids and never have to be awake all night taking care of the sick child. If they are in my position at that time, they would definitely appreciate if the doctorscould come together and have the session together. Because at that moment in time, we want the child to be fully rested and we need to have a short shut-eye. Finally after about an hour of Q&A, the doctors left. We started nebuliser on Dina and she managed to catch up with some sleep. Now, she was admitted for 4 days.

May to November
Many months have passed since I last put my thoughts here. During those months, we have had the Ramadhan, Syawal, and Deepavali celebrations. Ramadhan is celebrated for the fact that it is the month for self reflection and also time to do good deeds. Even though it is not the only month or time that you do good deeds.
Syawal was celebrated at my mother-in-law's place in Muar. We went back to her house in the eve of Aidilfitri. The highway traffic was kind to us. Only in a few spots that we were back-to0back and nothing else to see except for the brake lights of the car in front of us. But then again, what is a celebration eve without traffic. We did some visiting in Muar and then some in KL when I was back in the city after the weekend.
I did most of my visiting during the Deepavali weekend. I went back to Muar on Friday and came back to KL with Dina, my mother-in-law and sis-in-law. On the way back, we visited my brother who stays in Kota Warisan and we had lunch there. After that, we went to my auntie's house in Bangi. And then only we went back to our house.

Confused......
The management called for a meeting with all the staffs last week. The meeting was to inform us that the management buyout has finally gone through and the agreement has been signed. What's left is for the transfer of shares, among other things that they have to sort out. This is the third meeting that the staffs were briefed about the status of the MBO. It has been going on for months.
To some, the Management, it is good news that they have won their battle. But then again, a battle won doesn't mean you win the war. For the staffs, I really don't know. As for myself and some of the close ones, we felt that with this MBO, our future in the company is uncertain. We really don't know whether we can get our salary at the end of the months, in the next few months to come. They said that they have projects but they are revealing to us. Why can't they reveal? Haven't we the staffs signed a non-disclosure document of sort with the company? Are they scared that we might take the projects somewhere else? Doesn't it show how many projects the company actually has currently that they are scared we might take the projects somewhere else?
Anyway, since I'm rightfully employed by them, I still have to serve them in the best way that I know. With Allah's blessings, I really hope that we can pull this through and may Allah give me the strength to fight this through. Also, I may not discount whatever that might come in the way. I am currently in the state of confusion as what should I do. As I mentioned, work for them and hopefully, the lighth will shine upon me. Praise be to Allah.

Finally......
It has been a looooong while when I wanted to start my own blog. It just that I didn't get the time or more like I reaaly have to find time to write or blogging. Finally, after reading a cousin's blog and a friend's blog, I said to myself, I really have to do IT. Start to Blog. In his blog also, this older cousin of mine, who is a frequent blogger said "time is what you make of it my friends" and he continues to say "if you keep saying you have no time, you WILL have no time.
Thus the decision to start blogging. I am not really sure what I am going to write but most likely about my daughter and her development and probably also current issues and probably life in general.
I hope that I can spend time in here and write some more. OK, I know I have to make time for it.
Well, I'm going to sign off for now. Till we meet again.
